I'm equally unsurprised that you would take my comment out of context and make comments that are neither constructive nor productive out of it while playing rules lawyer on me.

Certainly one can imply certain things from the rule you linked to. At the same time it's not specific about a dog's butt. Likewise one should imply from basic common sense that a certain amount of manners is appropriate, even if not specifically stated. As for Diz's link, yeah. I see it. I know that's his feeling on it. That's cool. It's not specifically stated in the rules, which was kind of my point - that not everything is specifically stated in the rules (nor should it be).

My other point of course was to let Rob3 know that shit like this happened every time someone who wanted to be a martyr found a chance to be a prick to someone about it lately, rather than any number of other, far more positive options that aren't hard to find.

Equally entertaining is that you've already forgotten which of us posted first in this thread, and which of us took the first jab. Unlike you, I'm critical of those who actually go against the expressed intent of the forum, rather than being a dick to those who break rules that exist only in the minds of the intolerant.

As for "positive options", you're big on stats, so why don't you compare our respective percentage of positive vs not positive comments in WTG. You can even break it down into whether the post was helpful in answering the stated question vs whether it was "helpful" in the sense that it was effective in teaching the person a valuable and important life lesson about human interaction, that they didn't request, but that they clearly need to be taught while visiting a porn forum because they had lousy parents who didn't teach them proper manners from a Tarquin endorsed manual for internet ettiquette.

If I made a jab that was directed at you personally, I'm certainly not seeing it (until after your petty rant).

Even when I showed a stance opposite yours, I was respectful and polite, and didn't get personal or juvenile.

You can say whatever you like, but the fact remains that no one got hostile or made any attacks on anyone until your post, which came out of nowhere and into a dead thread - almost as if you wanted to fight. Well, to be fair I don't think Brownell came in looking for a fight, he's a regular in this forum, he likes to help people out you see, which I appreciate. He probably only has a problem with the noob flamming because he does go out of his way to help out everyone, not just big posters, which is pretty awesome of him.


There was a time on this forum when noob wrangling was considered amusing to all, because it was done in a lighthearted fashion, I'm aware things change, but over time it went from amusing to rude and uncalled for. I do try to throttle the majority of jackassery that rolls through this forum, but if I see a comment was made as a joke, and it's clearly a joke, I leave it alone, because I've always been of the impression everyone can take a joke. When it becomes less about a light hazing and more about "FUCK YOU ZOMG YOU'RE NEW HERE!!!!!HOW DARE YOU USE THIS FORUMZ1!" it gets a little fucking pathetic. If you don't want to help out a member, it's as simple as moving on, you don't have to not only not help them, but also make them feel like shit for asking.

I agree the first post about the ladyboy thing was mildly amusing, because when I seen the chick that's why I instantly though, so I figured I would roll with it so the OP would see it's clearly a joke and a bit of a good time. Everyone was laughing, it was goodtimes, then Rob posted, and teh clusterfuck began.

This was all completely unnecessary, Brownell and and Tarquin, you both just differ in opinion on the subject, and trying to sway one another is pointless, Brownell helps out everyone, not only because he's a moderator, but also because he's cool like that. Tarquin helps people out, if he can..and if he thinks they deserve it, which is a little petty, but if he feels like it takes a certain amount of posts or uploads to make you a member worthy of asking, that's his business, I can frown upon it all I want, but he's still going to feel the same about it.

Also, we have this nifty contraption on this site called "Personal Messages" I know they're tricky and all, what with the subject lines and such, but they're pretty awesome for sorting out things without resorting to a flame off.
