Can someone explain the phenomenon behind puffy nipples? WTF makes them puff up like that???

But way are they puffy like that?? Very strange. I have never seen this in real life.

Typically, puffy nipples are a sign of youth. In young girls, the nipple/aureola has grown more rapidly than the breast. The nipple/aureola are "puffy" because they're "too big" for the breast. Once the breast catches up, the puffiness goes away. Traci Lords is a perfect case in point. The pic in this thread of her were taken when she was 15-17 years old. Her nips were extremely puffy. Look at later pics of her topless and you can see that has gone away as her boobs have settled into the final size/shape....

The reason most of us don't see them in real life is cuz 1) you'd usually have to spying on a 15 year old to see them and 2) most women's boobs grow out of that phase.

wrangler, I disagree. I have a lady friend who's in her late 20's and she has puffy nips and believe me, she's "fully matured". Also I believe the changes in Ms. Lords' breasts are all cosmetic!!!
