Help!!!! Transfering Divx files to cd/dvdE

For some reason, I am having problems transfering some divx movies from my computer to a cd/dvd. They play fine on my computer, but won't transfer...can anyone help?

what kind of files do you got? avi with divx codec? u can't burn em or what?
