I decided to revisit AI programs to see if they've advanced much in the last 12 months. This time I thought I'd see how AI depicted women from various countries. I asked a specific program to create images using the following criteria:
• one 20-year-old woman and one 50-year-old woman from each country.
• each woman would have the average appearance based on the stats for their country - bust size, hair colour, eye colour, dress size, and skin tone (according to their age being 20 or 50)
• the women are topless (for scientific purposes...) and stood in locations that look like their countries.
I chose a few random countries initially; the results are below.
First of all, I think it's fair to say that the "average" women from these countries certainly don't look like this, and this is only based on the capabilities of one AI program, but was still interesting to see what the images looked like and how the program changed them according to age/country.
If there are any other specific countries/regions you would like me to test then please let me know - I'll run the search and post the results on this thread.
