No lie though, the instant celebrity she got out of the Real World is awesome, and if it boosts support for the military in any way, I guess it can't be all that bad.

The sad thing is.....................here actions are not helping in the support of the military in any way. She's annoying as hell, and her "I'm better than you, because I was in Iraq" attitude SUCKS!
She's not better than anyone, and the fact that she has to constatnly tell people how great she is, only leads one to believe that she isnt as important as she says she is.

I have friends who served in Iraq, and they NEVER feel like they need to brag about what they have done. They know that it was a choice they made, and it makes them no better than anyone else. Although our troops deserve all the respect in the world, those who put in true time, will never demand that respect.
But this real world girl is always putting people down, because she was a "nurse" in Iraq...................LAME! Any time she gets in an argument, she starts to yell about how she spent 2 years in Iraq while other people were getting their degree's.
She's all talk!

My dad had one and I always felt much safer when I was with him and he was carrying. I encouraged him to always carry that piece when we hung out. I'd still rather use mace first though just because there's a hell of a lot less paperwork when you hit someone with that, plus instead of your would-be attacker just falling over dead, you get to watch with satisfaction as they writhe in agony on the pavement. Just because you're carrying a gun doesn't mean it needs to-or should-be used as your first line of defense when something less lethal-and liability inducing-might do just fine. That's where most gun carriers make their worst fuck-up. There's nothing wrong with having a few options on hand.

Jeff they got in a fight with partyiers/frat boy kinds. Not crack heads. But hey! your from Texas! Im from San Antonio. I like Austin but yea it is a bit sketchy down there. You def have to watch your back.

Yeah, I was mainly talking about feeling the need to defend myself from crack addicts and what not if I had to. Of course the best weapon is the mind, and it should be primarily used to recognize danger and stay away from it before the need for anything tactical arises. Being from Chicago gave me that. As my uncle (also a Chicagoan) said, "I can't put this into writing in a way that would make sense to a non-city person, but I can step on board a bus and tell you in one second who the three people are on that ride who it would be a mistake to sit next to.".

Well said. Its weird you do develop a second sense as to threats. So do you like Chicago or Austin better?

Thats a negative! On both of them!

Trishelle?

She's just a lame chick who has to act slutty so people notice her.

The hottest ever is Cameron, with Jamie in a close second place....thats it, no: if, ands, or buts!

Hmmmm...Chicago or Austin? Well I did love Chicago itself when I lived there. Thing si I didn't really live there, I lived in the suburbs and always pined to live in the city where there was, you know, some damn CULTURE and actual ACTION going on. So I just spent a looot of time in the city every chance I got.

When I moved to Austin it was a lot smaller, extremely laid back, cheap and a place where you could live as a slacker and no one gave a damn if you never did anything with your life. Think some Florida retirement town only with a bunch fo young alcoholics working as waiters and they're all in bands. It was paradise. The begining of the end was when Forbes fucking put it on it's ten best places to live list. IN two years it wasn't even on the list anymore because A: the city council invited several high tech manufacturing companies like Samsung and AMD to come in and fuck things up (like we needed that). Then, as if by divine intervention, an earthquake hit California and all their tech workers came to Austin to work and officialy killed it as a cool place to live. It's just another sad coroporate gulag now. Now it's ungodly rents, SUVs making it too dangerous to get around on a bike, traffic jams constantly, pretentious yuppies. The music scene is basically over with now that it's too expensive for artists of any kind to live here anymore. The cops are just a bunch of murderous fucking thugs. I don't know what they're talking about when they say it's the "live music capital of the world". Give me a damn break. There are maybe four or five pretty big bands locally that are still around but that's it. Austin has been finished for years now. Maybe I would like Chicago better but who knows? At least there, everyone is *from* there. It may have it's disadvantages but it (Chicago)works, and that is the soiled beauty of it.
