I'm glad we have nothing else for the FBI to do
I mean they COULD go after terrorists or bank robbers but yeah keeping people from seeing celebrity boobs is more important

I would be interested to see any credible evidence that the FBI is chasing down pic uploaders. The FBI is pursuing the people who 'hacked' the accounts to get these pictures. It would be a complete and utter waste of their time to try and hunt down every person who shares them.
The Reddit group was closed because of the threat of lawsuits.
As for why the FBI is involved with this at all... they care that the compromising of accounts could lead to more "important" things being stolen than some titty shots.

And that's what has bugged me this whole thing. The attitude that this is either unique to or a worse crime when committed against celebrities. Chastising people for saying things like they shouldn't have taken the pictures, like that's somehow saying theft of the pictures is ok. No, this is a problem for everyone, and the "shouldn't have taken those pictures" could very well be coming from someone speaking from experience, even if they aren't famous. Hell, I've given that advice from one non-celebrity to another. So to me, the indignation comes across as either ignorant, that they don't know private photos becoming public is a problem for plebs like us; or as condescending, that they think it's a worse crime when committed against a famous person. I have pictures I don't want to see on the web. If I do someday, the FBI will not investigate. No one will investigate. Aargh. Sorry. </rant>.
But I recognize that it is a crime, and at the same time I thoroughly enjoyed the photos.

As did I I but I just finished cleaning my HD of these photos. Yes it was theft and I liked looking at the photos but I realize that to possess them was wrong.

Going to have to agree with this post. Trying to chase down every person who traded these photos, once they were already spread across the net, would be pointless and next to impossible.
