WBW Post Helper Software

I have made a progam using Visual Basic to help with posting vids.
It will add the codes need to make your posts look nice and tidy with all the information needed for a vid.

This is the first release so there may be bugs and I will fix them and post a tutorial when I have more time.

Please try it and let me know what ya think or if I should add anything.
I have included links to the program and the source code.
P.S. I really liked eZteh's format of posting so thats what I used.

This program does not upload the files to a host for you but if your looking for software that does try using Rapid Up 1.3.1 or RapidGet 1.2 (Official Software for rapidshare)

Tutorial


Enter all the information of your video into the program.

Description - this is where you put a description of what type of video you are posting

File Size - the size of the video that you are posting in MB's

Duration - the length of the video in hours/mins/secs (HH/MM/SS)

Password - put the password here if you post a password protected file

Screen Caps URL - this is where to put the URL of the screen caps of the video

Check this to include hot link codes - check this if you want the program to add the hotlink codes to your URL if it doesnt already have them (www.imagevenue.com supples the URL with the Holink Codes)

Download Links - put the Host URL for your video here (you can have up to 5 links for multi archived .rars)

Now press the Add & Clear button - this will add the info you entered into the program to the bottom list box and clear the boxes. Just enter more info for multiple vids and hit the Add & Clear button. You can add as many as you like.

When you are ready to get the code to be copy and pasted to the WBW forum, click the Save as .txt button.
Select where you want the .txt to be saved on your computer and name it.
Now open the .txt you created and copy and paste it to the WBW forum.

The end result will look like this.

Fixed Download link text boxes so multiple lines of text can not be added with the enter key
Fixed the Tab index to allow tabbing in order through the text boxes

hmm i had to do a course in vb in highschool did a graphn calculator lol but im guessn this si far more interesting.. ill def chek it out

HAHA dude i tried it i thought it actually hosted it up and everythn but its defenately a handy tool man mad props on a good job

Nope it doesnt upload a video to a host.

It only puts all the information you enter into a nice easy to read format for posting on here.

gotta love VB. i havent messed with it in so long, but i like just conjuring up a proggy just here and there

how hard it is to make it process a video?

something like...
you choose from your HDD which video you want to upload and the program take X amount of screencaps, calculate the lenght of the video, the size of the file and just fill those fileds by itself.
Screencaps saved to X folder and all the user has to do is upload them and copy the link back

maybe it a hell of a job to make it do even one of those thing!

well not that easy, im just a beginer at coding with VB

This I may be able to do, I might be able to get this info from the file, ill look into it
