Truly a noble response.

So I was trying to be funny, and someone interpreted it as an attempt to get others to pick on the newb. Now that's not allowed.

But when I own up to it and attempt to rectify it, I get attacked?

What your response taught me:

1. Rather than try to be funny and risk being misunderstood, just be a dick because I'm going to get treated like one anyway.

2. Don't bother apologizing. Ever.

3. Apparently it's not okay to say something that might be interpreted as a call to pick on a newb, but being a total prick to someone who isn't a newb is okay.

Nah... I'm not going to take it that personally. I come here to have fun, not get bent out of shape. But I'd point out that I'm not the only person in this thread that owed an apology.
