I dont think it would make a difference. The poor quality from videos is the result of them being taken with camera phones. 3GP can support good quality videos, its not worth the hassle converting.

theres no point converting them, since this is the format most of them were filmed in - ie you can't polish a turd. converting them to mp4 would have no effect other than making the files bigger....
