Recently in our local news, a janitor at a school was busted for video taping the girls locker room, isn't that illegal?
I always wondered about these types of videos violating privacy laws, sorry to bring it up, but I am curious on the matter

Right. Any sort of indoors voyeur stuff like the above or toilets or shop dressing rooms all violate the invasion of privacy voyeur laws which vary in detail across the world but all state mainly the same thing - that a person is entitled to privacy in given situations outwith general public areas.
The only part of voyeurism which is still legal is beach captures, be it nude or topless. a beach is define din law as a public area therefore anyone going naked on it can have no expectations of privacy, i.e if someone takes your picture you've only yourself to blame for putting yourself in a public situation.

This will always remain the case, even though certain breaches of it have been successfully trialled - I'm thinking of a local example to us in the Uk where a guy was arrested at the seafront for using a video camera and zooming on women's crotches and tits. Not even topless or naked but the cops still searched his house, found a bunch of vids he'd taken and charged him!

I still don't know how a decent lawyer couldn't put up a strong defence and/or have the charges dropped under the letter of the law but it went all the way to court and he was found guilty of making indecent images without the subjects permission, publicised in the local papers, picture don the cover, fined and lost his job. I felt a bit sorry for him given some of the shit I've gotten up to on Spanish nude beaches, lol.
But there you go - you never know how the law can be interpreted. In this case, if the stuff is real voyeur and without consent filmed in covert fashion, the poster would stand no chance under the law, which in some cuckoo American states can mean years in jail.

I would assume it's rather risky. I'm just glad we never seemed to have to worry about this or guns when I went to school! haha There was a after school swimming party once where I personally forgot to change in private and luckily no one remembers it or got it on a video cell phone. Nothing would suck worse then that! haha
