This strange car is called Argo, it was built in Chelyabinsk (in central Russia) in 1950/60s by an engineer from Poletaevo, Maksim Nikolaevich Melnichenko.
The guy who designed it had worked in a factory for military tanks.
It measures 6 meters long and weighs 1,5 tonnes, passengers get to the front, the back is hinged and contains the engine. The body is Duraluminum, all parts are fastened with rivets.

Uncovered by a user of the Russian social network VK, this eight-wheeled monstrosity is reportedly an Amphibious All-Terrain Vehicle (AATV) and was built by the Design Bureau of the Chelyabinsk tractor hydraulics plant in the 1950s, Russian Beyond reports.
