This is, indeed, a Corvette. It's from what is called the "fifth generation" (C5) that ran from 1997 through 2004.
This particular example has been modified with "scissor doors" as well as a bulging aftermarket hood an' front fascia. 'Looks like the owner didn't intend to fully hide the identity of his beautiful ride, though...since the iconic "crossed flags" emblem remains a prominent part of the car's front end.
I would love to see the rest of the car an' what other visual an' mechanical changes the owner made.
Of course, the appeal of his living "hood ornament" goes without saying.
She's got a nice smile though
