This should be way higher on the list

Quite a beautiful design - hand built in 1952-53 by Richard Bosley who was a horticulturist with no car-making experience and no engineering training. He built a tube frame, some running gear from the American parts bin like Chrysler engine, Lincoln brakes, Ford and Mercury frame cross-members. Amazingly, he designed and built the fiberglass body all by himself.
