The Sprite was designed in the 1950's when Metals (except aluminium) were pretty darn scarce, and petrol (gasoline) was heavily taxed. So cars were small and had small engines. They were fast for their day, and had reasonably good road-holding..And as far as it goes they were affordable! Their brakes were OK, but the tyres were nothing like today and so when they came unstuck it was usually bad! But they were FUN and gave us a good scare for our money. Because the Sprite and the Midget were basically the same they were known as Spridgets.

this small healy´s are so damn ugly that that makes them cool.. litle frog like I and some more call them.. hehe
