I believe it was retired from service in 2003. From what I read, the operative an' maintenance costs were prohibitive, the public's interest in supersonic travel had waned (and the attacks of 9/11/2001 only made matters worse for the airlines), the 'novelty' also had worn thin, and the noise level was intolerable to communities near wherever it would land or take off...with all that, the Concorde couldn't avoid becoming a museum piece - a relic of the affluent's 27-year flirtation with faster-than-sound air travel...
