To tenaciousDave, I rated a 10 on your behalf. If you really care about the "safety of our children", which I think we all should, get real instead of emotional. Stop giving them all an "A" they can't all be winners, teach them instead of indoctrinate them, stop giving scumbag parents government cheese beer money, stop putting chemicals in baby formula, outlaw skateboards and bicycles (everyone knows that for every 1 kid killed with a gun about 12,000 are killed with these implements of destruction), on a voluntarily basis pay up to 15% of teachers an extra 15% to submit to summer training and arm themselves. I could go on. Last but not least know that the world can be a dreadful place, and no liberal utopian panacea exists.
