So is that suggesting that it only applies to females where the partner ejaculates inside? What of the couples where the male ejaculates outside? If so, then the introduction to the article (i.e. "The finding that women who do not use condoms during sex are less depressed...") is misleading.
Given that, females who allow their partners to ejaculate inside may have other reasons they are not as depressed. Despite they claimed to have controlled for variables including method of contraception, frequency of sexual intercourse, as well as the women's perception of their relationship ... I'm sure there has to be more to it than just "semen makes people happy." What about those girls who swallow semen while giving a blow job, but use condoms during sex? (I'm not trying to be funny with the latter statement). Does it yield the same effect, I would assume that to a certain extent those chemicals are also absorbed.
