I used to post data of the current size of the image upload queue, the amount of images that have been moderated recently and the average wait time based on recent moderation levels. In a recent thread it became apparent that this information is useful/interesting to some members so I am happy to start posting the info again.
What I don't want this thread to become is a whine-fest of people saying "my images have been in the queue for 14 years now" etc. - yes, you may have to wait a while for your images to appear, and yes, some of your images will be rejected. It's really not the end of the world and if you want to message me (or another mod) and argue your case as to why a certain image (or group of images) shouldn't have been rejected, then that is fine - rejections CAN be reversed if it seems a moderator has made an honest mistake.
It may seem that some people have their images approved on a more regular basis, but this is generally because over time they have uploaded quality images and have built up their upload score (allowing them to have a larger upload allowance). If you upload lots of images that are rejected (for whatever reason) then your score (and upload allowance) will be low.
And yes, 2 moderators can have differing opinions as to what looks like a 15 year old and a 19 year old - and they will reject/approve accordingly. It's not a perfect system but it's the one we use, so just deal with it and try to control that internal whiny bitch.
I'll try to update this information fairly regularly (generally on a weekly basis).
Current image queue size: 13,554
Images accepted (last 7 days): 5,668
Images rejected (last 7 days): 2,388
Active moderators (last 7 days): 8
Current approx. wait time: 2 weeks
